You want to know what happiness is? It’s waking up in the middle of the night for no reason, shifting under the blankets and feeling the heat of the person next to you. You turn around and see them in their most peaceful, innocent, and vulnerable state. They breathe as though the weight of the world lays on anyone’s shoulder but their own. You smile, kiss their face in the most gentle manner so as not to wake them. You turn back around and an involuntary grin forms on your own face. You feel an arm wrap around your waist, and you know it doesn’t get any better than this.

The thing about difficulty in life is how we’re so attached to wordly objects and feelings. We grew up on here, and this is our life. We have all these emotions and wants and thoughts about ourselves and we often time will just go all out to achieve whatever it is that we think we need. So when God calls out to us, it’s just that much harder because you don’t know what to do when you’re stuck between having faith in him and choosing to continue the path you were on because it’s more tangible. In a way, I feel like it’s a test of faith. And it’s the world and everything in it that makes following God so difficult. But I’m really glad I have a clear head set out. It’s hard, but I know I can get through it because God’s with me.

“My precious, precious child. I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

… he saw a couple sitting there. The boy had his hand on the girls upper leg. She was wearing a short jean skirt. The pastor turned to the boy and said “Do you plan on marrying this girl?”…being a teenage boy he said “I don’t know were just dating” and then the pastor said “Then get your hands off another man’s wife.” This has always hit home with me.
